Every 2nd and 4th Saturday, a team of women from The Lost and Found travels from Jacksonville to Lowell Correctional Institution in Ocala. We leave around 12:30 in the afternoon and return home close to 9:30 that night. The drive is long, but the work is holy and God not only goes before us but He meets us there.
Inside the prison walls, we are not met with hardened hearts—we are met with open arms, tears, and stories. Many of the women we serve are carrying heavy sentences, some for life. Others are separated from children or family. But inside that chapel, something sacred happens.
From 3:30 to 5:00 PM, we lead a worship service from The Church of Eleven22. We sing, we pray, we cry. We share the truth of a God who sees them, even here. Afterward, from 5:30 to 7:00, we gather again for arts and crafts. These moments may seem small, but they open doors to real connection—sharing laughter, telling stories, offering encouragement.
Many of these women are not who they used to be. Some have found deep healing through their relationship with Jesus. Others are just beginning the journey. All are hungry for hope, friendship, and purpose.
We do not see inmates. We see friends. Sisters. Image-bearers.
This ministry is not about a program. It is about presence. And your support makes that possible. Whether through prayer, giving, or going—you are part of what God is doing behind those prison gates.
Thank you for believing with us that no one is ever too far gone to be found.
