At The Lost and Found Jax, ministry often looks quiet, faithful, and deeply relational. One of the ways we live this out is through our ongoing arts and crafts and prayer time at Lowell Correctional Institution.

Each visit is centered on presence—showing up consistently, listening well, and creating space for meaningful conversation. Over time, these moments turn into relationships built on trust, care, and the reminder that every woman is seen, valued, and loved.

Creating with Purpose

During recent gatherings, the ladies at Lowell have been working on diamond art paintings—beautiful, detailed pieces created one bead at a time. These projects are more than crafts; they are moments of focus, creativity, and shared joy. As hands work, hearts often open. Conversations go deeper. Stories are shared. Prayer flows naturally.

These paintings are now being prepared for a special purpose: they will be donated to art shows at assisted living and senior adult communities. What a powerful exchange—art created inside a correctional facility becoming a gift of beauty and encouragement to seniors in our community. It is a tangible reminder that God can use every season, every place, and every person for good.

Ministry of Relationship

This work is not about a single event or program. It is about walking alongside women over years, investing in relationships that allow for deep conversations, spiritual growth, and genuine care. Arts and crafts simply provide a bridge—a shared activity that fosters connection and dignity.

Prayer remains at the heart of every gathering. We pray together, for one another, and for the communities these artworks will bless. It is holy ground.

“Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” — 1 John 3:18
